We bought Ben a toddler bed right after Chris came along and have had it in his room since about August. We figured when Chris was sleeping through the night and ready to go into the crib in their room, we would switch Ben over. Well, Christopher is now 8 months and is still waking up to nurse a few times a night... but he needs a real bed instead of a playpen. He's over 20 pounds now!
So yesterday, we worked on getting the room rearranged and all clean/babyproof and ready should he decide to get out of his bed and play around. Last night, we did our normal routine and put him down in the new bed. He got right up and got out of the bed (because he could) right after I put him in, but then I told him he could sleep in the new bed or his crib, but it was time for sleep. He picked his new bed and I kissed him goodnight and left. He whined for a quick second to test me, then went to bed, and slept all night until 7! What a big boy :)
Chris is happy-- in a few days we'll move the crib out into the other room for him! Until he can sleep all night and not wake up Ben, that is...
